Located at the confluence of the Bosoluk river and the Semenovsky brook . Through them are transferred 1 and 2 bridges, respectively.

In 1782, it was designated “Bogoyavlenskoye village, Butyrki identity”.

At the end of the XVIII century, the owner was Alexander Y. Pushkin [2] , a great-uncle of Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin .

The name - from the word butyrki - selitba, separated from the general settlement, the house on the outskirts [3] .

In Soviet times there was a dairy farm in the village, which went bankrupt in the 1990s .

Butyrka Temples

In 1896, the Church of the Epiphany was built in Butyrki [11] (   architectural monument (regional) ). Today there is a Kazan church. In May 2008, construction began on the chapel of the Vladimir Icon of the Mother of God and the belfry. She must be consecrated in the fall of 2008 . The temple was set up by a local resident Galina Popova after her husband, Vladimir Popov, died [12] .
