Pirechm ( ancient Greek Πυραίχμης ) is a character of ancient Greek mythology . The leader of peons from the city of Amidon (Ἀμυδών) in Macedonia on the river Axios , whose location is not precisely known. Ally of Troy [1] . Homer says nothing about the origin of Pirehma. Diktis of Crete calls him the son of Axia ( Eponym of the Axios River ( Greek ξιός) in modern Macedonia) [2] . He was killed by Patroclus , wearing the armor of Achilles when Patroclus attacked the panicked Trojans [3] . Pirhem was on the Protesilaus ship when Patroclus threw a spear into the middle of a cluster of enemies [4] . According to the Cretan Diktis, Pirehma killed Diomedes by hitting him with a spear in the forehead [5] .
