The rating was created in the spring of 2005 based on archival documents. The rating is relative and rather shows the general picture of the beginning of the XX century [1] .

Konovalov was also involved in insurance (since 1903) and banking (since 1912) activities: he headed the Russian Mutual Insurance Union (share of equity capital - 3 million rubles) and was a member of the Council and shareholder of Moscow a commercial bank (the share of equity capital is 25 million rubles) (see Russian Entrepreneurs at the Beginning of the 20th Century. - M., 2004). Of the same kind of factory owners Konovalov, Ivan Kaponovich Konovalov had an independent business - the Annenskaya Manufactory near Kineshma with a capital in 1914 of 2.3 million rubles.
