Biography
In the second edition of his Historical and Critical Dictionary ( 1701 ), in an annex to the article by Jacques Sader (narrator of the Southern Land, under whose name the book was published), Pierre Beyle placed a letter from his Geneva correspondent, in which the real name was reported author, as well as some facts of his biography. This letter is still the only biographical source, so that the accuracy of the biography of Fuanyi can be questioned.
