History

The name of the village supposedly comes from “kuyshnitsa,” that is, “with a mill,” since until the 1950s there were many water mills on the Dniester .

Geography

The village is located at an altitude of 89 meters above sea level [1] .

Population

According to the 2004 census , 499 people live in the village of Kuresnitsa (225 men, 274 women) [2] .
