Attractions
In the center of the village of Tsaul is the largest park in Moldova, founded at the beginning of the 20th century around the estate of the Pommer family. The park is one of the most successful works of landscape architect I. Vladislavsky-Padalko. The dendrological collection is composed of approximately 150 species of trees, shrubs and vines, of which more than 100 forms are exotic. The area of the park is 46 ha. The length of the alleys and paths of the park is more than 12.5 km. Entrance to the park is free.
At this stage in its history, the park is in decline, since only the area adjacent to the local college is maintained in order. Everywhere it was covered with wild-growing shrubs, tablets with descriptions of the trees present disappeared over time. Representatives of the fauna that were kept in the reserve are also absent. As a result, the zone, which under the MSSR was considered the pride of the republic, now represents a territory that does not particularly differ from many similar spontaneous park zones.
