The brand was founded in 1997 by Calvin Klein fashion house and watch manufacturer Swatch Group . [1] [2] . It belongs to the main segment of the Swatch Group, which includes the brands Tissot , Certina and cK. The brand is aimed at consumers for whom the watch is an element of a fashion accessory and is included in the top ratings of watches in the FASHION section [3] , [4] , [5] .
The first collection was created by Arlette Emsh, president of cK Watches & Jewelry Co. Ltd. for 9 months of work. It combines the recognizable minimalist cK design, the Swiss made badge and the precision of the ETA quartz movement.
In 2004, the company transformed into ck Watch & Jewelry Co. Ltd with the simultaneous release of the first Calvin Klein jewelry collection, which used not only traditional jewelry materials, but also leather.
In April 2013, at the BaselWorld international trade fair, ck Watch & Jewelry Co. Ltd announced a global rebranding program, after which it began to produce products called Calvin Klein Watches & Jewelry. [6]
Today the collection is updated annually; there are always three directions in it: a designer model, a female model and a male model. [7]
