The mantle ( dr. Greek Μάντιος "prophetic") is a character in ancient Greek mythology. The son of Melampus and brother of Antiphates , the father of Polyphides and Klit [2] . Through Polyphidus is the grandfather of Theocliman . According to another version, the son of Melampod and the father of Ackle [3] .

In the Mycenaean texts, the name ma-ti-ko (Mantik?) Is found [4] .
