Elara ( dr. Greek Ἐλάρα ) is a character in ancient Greek mythology. Daughter of Orchomen or Minius [1] . Zeus met her and hid them underground, fearing Hera, and Titus brought her huge son out of the underground [2] . Elara died of childbirth, for the child was of enormous size [3] . Hesiod calls Titius Elarides [4] .
