Orchomen ( ancient Greek Ὀρχομενός ) is a character of ancient Greek mythology.

According to one of the versions, the son of Minii , the grandson of the elder Orchomen . From him received the name of the city in Boeotia . In his reign, Giette from Argos arrived to him, and a part of the land was ceded to him [1] . The son of Orchomenus is mentioned by Hesiod [2] . According to other versions, he is named the son of Zeus or Eteocles and Hesiona, the daughter of Danae, in this version he is the father of Minius [3] .
