Unga ( Urga , Etmesh [2] ; ( Chuvash. Unka ) - the river, the left tributary of the Great Tsivilia . It flows through the Cheboksary , Krasnoarmeysky and Tsivilsky districts of Chuvashia . The length of the river is 66 km (according to other sources - 64.8 km [2] ) , the catchment area is 719 km² [3] , the density coefficient of the river network is 0.70 km / km² [2] .

Local historian I.S. Dubanov notes:
The name most likely comes from Mar. ungsho "quiet, calm", which indicates the nature of the flow of the river. Presumably, the Chuvash version of Chuv . unkă “circle, ring”. Wed mar hego "loop"
