Biography
Born in Minsk on June 5, 1973 .
Is the fourth child in a family of five. Has two brothers who became military men and two sisters. The elder sister is an artist, lives in the suburbs, the younger sister is an actress of a puppet theater in Minsk.
Since childhood, he studied in various theater studios, studied at secondary school No. 136 with a theatrical bias. In 1994 he graduated from the Belarusian Academy of Arts (workshop of A. Kolyada). Upon completion, he played in performances at the Volnay Stsen, the Youth Theater, the Puppet Theater, the Theater Studio of the film actor, and in entreprise (private) projects.
For some time he worked in Germany. This period can be noted, in particular, by the participation in the performance of the play by Eustigney Fomin “Orpheus and Eurydice” ( 2000 ) and the solo performance of the director Monika Dobrovlyansky on “Notes of the Crazy” by Gogol , which premiered in 2004 in Berlin , at the Tacheles Theater.
In addition to working on the stage, since 1993 Anatoly Kot has been constantly working on FM radio, where he held various positions - from DJ to director.
Since 2005, Anatoly Kot has been working in the theater of Armen Dzhigarkhanyan in Moscow.
In the movie, the actor gained popularity thanks to the role of Prince Vladimir Drutsky in the historical film “ Anastasia Slutskaya ” ( 2003 ), which was highly praised at various film festivals. Also in 2003, Anatoly Kot starred in the controversial military drama by Andrei Kudinenko, “ Occupation. Mystery ”, which was banned from showing in Belarus.
In Russia, the actor became known to a wide audience thanks to the role of Lieutenant Colonel Shkalin in the television series REN-TV " Soldiers " and the role of one of the nurses in the television series " Accelerated Help ". Acts mainly in the roles of negative characters.
Personal life
- The first wife is Julia Vysotskaya . The marriage was fictitious. Julia studied with Kot on the same course, and when she was invited to work at the Yanka Kupala Theater, she needed Belarusian citizenship, which she did not have. So that she received citizenship, they signed with Anatoly. It was a gesture of help on his part. Today they maintain friendly relations.
