Semyon Teodorovich Altshuller was born on January 17, 1945 in Sverdlovsk to the family of Teodor Altshuller, a teacher at the Leningrad Shipbuilding Institute (originally from Nizhyn ) and architect Lyubov Naumovna Zalesskaya (from Kremenchug ). ^[one]
