Tarrasa ^[1] ^[2] , Terraza ^[3] ( Spanish: Tarrasa , Cat. Terrassa [təˈrasə] ) - a city and municipality in Spain , part of the province of Barcelona as part of the autonomous community of Catalonia . The municipality is part of the Valles Occidental district (mosquito). It covers an area of 70.2 km². The population for 2013 is 215,055 people. The distance to the provincial capital is 21 km. One of the ancient names is lat. Egara romana (Egara novel).

Among the population of Tarrasa, many musicians and actors live due to the large number of music schools, as well as the presence of drama in the city ^[4] . Since 1982, the Jazz Festival has been held in Tarras, at which the Jazz Festival is specially performed by Stan Getz , Chet Baker , Dexter Gordon , Dizzy Gillespie .
