Albatera ( Spanish: Albatera ) is a municipality in Spain , part of the province of Alicante as part of the Autonomous Community of Valencia (Autonomous Community) . The municipality is part of the Vega Bahá del Segura district (mosquito). It covers an area of 66.55 km². The population is 11,821 people (as of 2010 ).
