Story

John and Alice Clayton, Lord and Lady Greystock ( Tru Boardman and Kathleen Kirkham ) are passengers on a ship sailing to Africa. The vessel is captured by the rebels, and although the sailor Binns ( George B. French ) helps them escape, they are abandoned on the shore of a tropical island. Shortly after the death of their parents, their little son is adopted by a monkey named Kala and raised as his own child.

It is believed that this film adaptation most closely follows the original plot of the novel by Burroughs " Tarzan, adopted monkeys ." The main difference from the book is the appearance of a character named Binns who takes the Porters to Africa .
