Howard Van Nostrand Valentine ; 14 December 1881 , New York - 25 June 1932 , New York - American athlete , champion and silver medalist at the 1904 Summer Olympics .

At the 1904 Games in St. Louis, Valentine participated in four disciplines. He finished seventh in the 4-mile team race, but in terms of points, his team took first place and won gold medals.
