History
Early years
The football club Krasnodar was founded on February 22, 2008. The initiator of the creation and owner of the club is Sergey Nikolaevich Galitsky .
In February 2008, FC Krasnodar successfully passed the PFL licensing procedure, received professional status and the right to compete in the second division . The team held their first official match on April 12, 2008 in Taganrog, at the Torpedo Stadium, in a 0-0 draw with Nicky Krasny Sulin [8] . The first victory of the club at a professional level took place on April 16, 2008, when the bulls outplayed the Pearl-Sochi [9] . The team consisted of young players, led by Vladimir Volchek - the first coach in the history of the club [10] . Under his leadership, “Krasnodar” completed the first round of championship in the “South” zone of the second division in 5th place, gaining 30 points.
In August, the club decided to terminate the contract with Vladimir Volchek. On the coaching bridge of the club, he was replaced by a tandem consisting of sports director Sergey Vakhrushev and team head Nurbiy Khakunov . The latter began to simultaneously perform the duties of the head coach of Krasnodar.
During the summer transfer window, the club strengthened the line-up with several players, and, under the guidance of the updated coaching staff, reached a new qualitative level of the game. As a result, the club took the 3rd place in its zone - after Volgar and Bataysk-2007 , 11 points behind the leader [11]
On January 15, 2009, an official letter from the PFL came to the club's office with a request to indicate its readiness to take part in the Russian championship in the first division in the 2009 season due to the refusal of some clubs for financial reasons [12] . The debut season in the first division “Krasnodar” finished in 10th place, and in one of the matches the “bulls” beat the favorite “Alania” with a score of 5: 1. The following year, the team was led by a new coach - Sergey Tashuev , known for working with Salyut-Energia . Under his leadership, "Krasnodar" brightly held the first round of the championship, but in the second played much worse. As a result, the team finished the season in 5th place and reached the 1/8 finals of the Russian Cup . At the end of the season Tashuev by mutual consent of the parties left the club.
Exit to the Premier League
In December 2010, the leadership of "Krasnodar" announced the signing of a contract with the Serbian specialist Slavoljub Muslin , known in Russia for working with Moscow "Lokomotiv" and " Khimki ". The contract with the club was signed under the "1.5 + 1" scheme. In the second half of January 2011, the club also grew stronger with players who had experience playing in the RFPL - Angelkovich , Michkov , Drinchich , Amisulashvili .
After Saturn submitted an application for voluntary withdrawal from the Premier League , there was a discussion about potential candidates to replace these clubs. The following teams : those who took 3rd and 4th places in the first division, Nizhny Novgorod and KAMAZ , as well as Alania , who retired from the Premier League. However, in the case of removal of both teams, the priority was considered the option of holding the championship with 14 teams. As a result, closer to January 25, 2011 - the day of decision making - the chances of Krasnodar became more and more preferable. Amkar withdrew the application for withdrawal from the Premier League, Nizhny Novgorod and KAMAZ refused to move to the top division for financial reasons [13] , and the RFPL rejected the Alania option due to the UEFA sports guidelines. , which does not allow to leave the team that took off at the end of the season. On January 25, Krasnodar officially took the place of Saturn in the Premier League [14] [15] . For 3 seasons, the club has traveled from creation to entering the Higher Division of the country.
First Premier League Krasnodar derby
In 2011, two Krasnodar clubs at once - FC Krasnodar and Kuban advanced to the Premier League, so a second city appeared in Russia with its football derby at the highest level after Moscow. The first match took place on June 18, 2011 at the Kuban stadium, all the pre-match layouts were in favor of Kuban, because before that she had already had experience in the Premier League and the age of the team is tens of years, and Krasnodar has the moment was only three years old and he spoke at this level for the first time. The match turned out to be tense and dramatic - for the last hope of a foul within the penalty area, the Krasnodar footballer was removed and a penalty was awarded, but Kuban failed to realize it: the ball hit the post. After Kuban, there were chances to squeeze a rival who remained in the minority, but they did not succeed. “Krasnodar”, playing with ten men, was able to score a goal in the 67th minute, the author of which was midfielder Nikola Drinchich . This goal was the only one in the match and Krasnodar won, having entered history, as the winner of the first non-Moscow derby in the Premier League .
Premier League and European Cup Games
For the first two seasons, the team became the middle peasant of the championship, without showing any outstanding results under the guidance of Slavoljub Muslin . Only the devastating victory over Mordovia (6: 1) in September 2012 and the sensational win against Anji (4: 0) with Wanderson's hat-trick in March 2013 stand apart. In September 2013, Muslin was dismissed from his post. According to the specialist, he was forced to leave the club, since the leadership of Krasnodar decided that the team was not progressing, although it was only in May of that year that he extended the contract with the club [16] . Oleg Kononov became the new coach of the team, who earlier on August 11, 2013, became the head coach of Krasnodar, signing a three-year agreement with the club. In mid-November 2013, Kononov received Russian citizenship, and, thus, the club was spared from having to pay 5 million rubles as a tax for a foreign head coach. After this, Kononov was appointed head coach [17] [18] . Under the leadership of a new specialist team, sometimes alternating loud victories (over Spartak (4: 0) in March 2014) and defeat (from CSKA (1: 5) in October 2013 and from Zenit (1: 4) in April 2014), was able to take 5th place in the Russian Championship 2013/14 and for the first time in its history to get into the Europa League . At the same time, the team was able to reach the final of the Russian Cup 2013/14 for the first time, where it lost to Rostov (0: 0, pen. 5: 6).
The Krasnodar team started playing in the Europa League with qualifying rounds , where they were able to score 20 goals against 6 opponents in 6 games, losing only once - Real Sociedad (0: 1) and entering the group stage of the tournament. The start in the Russian championship was also quite successful - the team suffered a first defeat only in the 6th round, having played in 3 games in a row without missing goals and defeated Spartak (4: 0) again. Kononov achieved such success due to the constant rotation of the players [19] . On September 25, 2014, the UEFA Financial Fair Play Regulation Committee opened an official investigation into Krasnodar [20] . This resulted in the fact that during two transfer periods Krasnodar was not allowed to declare the purchased players to participate in European competitions, including the 2015/16 Europa League [21] , in which the team got third place in the Russian Championship 2014 / 15 In the Europa League 2015/16 “Krasnodar” Slovak “ Slovan ” (2: 0, 3: 3) passed and reached the play-off round [22] , where he beat HIK (5: 1, 0: 0). In the group tournament "Krasnodar" took 1st place, beating "Borussia" (Dortmund) (1: 2, 1: 0), PAOK (0: 0, 2: 1) and " Gabala " (2: 1, 3: 0), and came out in the 1/16 of the tournament in "Sparta" (Prague) , which in February lost to the sum of two matches (0: 1 away and 0: 3 at home).
The season 2016/2017 Krasnodar began quite successfully - the team once again confidently overcame the qualification barrier of the UEFA Europa League , started in the Russian championship with two major victories. In early September, head coach Oleg Kononov resigned, and his position with the prefix “and. Fr. ”was appointed his assistant, the famous footballer Igor Shalimov in the past [23] . After a series of successful matches, including two wins at the start of the group stage of the UEFA Europa League - guest 1: 0 over the Austrian “ Salzburg ” and home 5: 2 over the French “ Nice ” - prefix “i. About Shalimov was withdrawn, and he signed a full-fledged contract with the club [24] .
In October 2016, a friendly match of the national teams of Russia and Costa Rica opened a new stadium with a capacity of more than 34 thousand spectators. On October 20, 2016, Krasnodar held its first game in the new arena, taking German Schalke 04 (0: 1) as part of the European League - the game had 33550 spectators, which is a record attendance of the arena. In the championships of Russia attendance record belongs to the game, held November 27, 2016 against Zenit (2: 1), when the game was visited by 31854 spectators.
In the 2017/2018 season, Krasnodar for the first time in its history lost five games in a row, starting with the 1/16 Cup match of Russia , Tom (1: 2), and then lost to Zenit (0: 2), Arsenal in the championship ”(0: 1), CSKA (0: 1) and Lokomotiv (0: 2). Later the club got to second place, but a series of points loss with outsiders and the loss of “Anji” that was lost in the last seconds led to Shalimov's resignation; his place was taken by the coach from the club system Murad Musayev . The victories over Zenit (2: 1) and Arsenal (3: 0) were won and the team finished on the fourth line, which ensured the passage to the group stage of the Europa League 2018/2019 , from where the club entered the playoffs from second place . The rival of the club in 1/16 was German Bayer , who lost to Krasnodar with a 1: 1 score in the sum of two meetings, which guaranteed the team a pass to the next stage - 1/8 of the Europa League. In the 1/8 finals, the Spanish “ Valencia ” became the rival of “Krasnodar”, to which they lost with a score of 1-2. The return match in Krasnodar was very tense, up to 85 minutes of the match the score remained 0-0, when the replacement Magomed-Shapi Suleymanov brought Krasnodar ahead. The historical output of “Krasnodar” in the quarter finals of the Europa League was very close, but in the 93rd minute of the match, the midfielder of the Spanish team Gonzala Guedes equalized the score in the match and in the next round was “Valencia”. [25] At the same time, with a fairly successful performance in Europe, the RPL was also successful, despite the loss of Granquist and Smolov, they were rather quickly replaced by the Serbian defender Uros Spayic and the young attacking shoots in the person of Suleymanov and Ignatiev. Thus, after the winter pause (17 round), the club lagged behind the leading Zenit by only 1 point, but several spring misfires with teams from the bottom of the table shook southerners' positions, which ultimately led to the loss of not only competition for leadership from the St. Petersburg club , but also the first in the history of “silver”: with the “Locomotive” at the end of the season there was an equality of points (56 each), and the first indicator is personal meetings (one home victory for each team), but the guest goal is for Muscovites (2 : 1 and 1: 0).
On March 31, the Krasnodar team defeated the Anji team with a score of 5: 0. [26]

Stadium
Krasnodar
Preparatory work on the site for the construction of the future stadium began in 2011. The project of the stadium was developed by the architectural bureau SPEECH together with gmp Architekten von Gerkan, Marg und Partner (Germany) [29] . Construction of the stadium was started in May 2013 by the Turkish company Esta Construction . The exterior, interior layout and interiors of the new stadium are unknown and, according to the owner of Krasnodar Sergey Galitsky , will not be published:
“No renders can convey ideas, and the funny thing is that all renders are usually made from a bird's-eye view, but people are not birds and ideas do not look from such a height” [30] . |
The facade is made with Italian travertine . The stands of the stadium are completely located under the roof. The arena is exclusively football, the absence of running sports tracks allows you to get as close as possible to the field. A park of about 17 hectares will appear next to the stadium. There will also be equipped with parking for 3,000 seats, which the club will use during matches. The rest of the time, residents of the East Kruglikovsky microdistrict of the city will be able to leave their cars there [31] . The stadium is different in that it does not have an official scoreboard, information about the match is displayed on a 3D screen, stretched across the top of the stadium along the stands.
The first match at the stadium was held on October 9, 2016, in which the Russian team met in a friendly match against the Costa Rican team [32] . The first match of FC Krasnodar at the stadium was held on October 20, 2016 within the 3rd round of the Europa League group stage against Schalke 04 [33] .
