Alkampel ( Spanish Alcampell , cat. El Campell ) is a municipality in Spain , part of the province of Huesca , in the autonomous community of Aragon . The municipality is part of the district (mosquitoes) La Litera . It covers an area of 57.81 km². Population - 782 people (for 2010 ).

Geography
Alcampel is located in the region of La Litera and is bordered by its municipalities: Peralta de Calasans , Baels , Albelda , Altorricon , Tamarite de Litera , San Esteban de Litera ; from the south it borders with the municipalities of the Segria region: Almenar and Almaselias .
The municipality also includes the uninhabited exclave of Pelegrinon, separated from its main territory by the exclave of Rocafort of the municipality of San Esteban de Liter .
The municipality includes its center - the village of Alkampel and the village of Miporquet in the southern part, the remaining settlements are now empty (Montaner, Wivers).
The municipality is the parish church of St. Margaret, built in 1664.
The local holiday is dedicated to August 31.
The average annual temperature is 13 °, the annual precipitation is about 480 mm [1] .
Economy
The economy of the municipality is represented by agriculture. The area of arable land is about 4,300 hectares. Grain crops (wheat, barley), alfalfa, corn, and flax are grown. In gardening, the main crops are olives, grapes, almonds, peaches, pears, apricots, plums. Cattle breeding, sheep breeding, and pig breeding are developed [2] .
History
The first mention of Alcampel dates back to 1098, at that time this village was dominated by the Earls of Urgell . The origin of the name Alcampel is derived from Catalan and means “small fields” [3] .
