Farrell, David Michael

David Michael Farrell aka Phoenix was born on February 8, 1977 in Plymouth , Massachusetts . Lives in Los Angeles . David was taught to play the guitar by his mother, who still remains his main inspiration. A special influence on the Phoenix in childhood had his older brother Joe. After David moved to California , he began playing Tasty Snax , a Christian punk band that was later renamed The Snax. It was in this group that he switched from guitar to bass. Then he became the bass player in Xero, which later became the Hybrid Theory, and then Linkin Park . When Phoenix played Xero, he decided to go on tour with his former band The Snax, but after the tour he continued to play Xero anyway .

David has a university degree, he graduated from the University of California at Los Angeles. When Linkin Park was just beginning to exist, Phoenix and Brad were roommates at the university and trained to play the guitar together. Phoenix wrote several songs for the LP Hybrid Theory album, and at a concert in Minneapolis on February 8, 2010, the public chanted “Happy Birthday Phoenix” . He also knows how to play many musical instruments, including the violin, but prefers the 4- and 5-string Ernie Ball Sting Ray bass guitars , and also uses SWR Amplifiers . David is quite an active person: he is engaged in boxing, likes to play soccer and snowboard and play golf . From music, he prefers Weezer , The Beatles , The Deftones , The Roots , Bob Marley , Sarah McLachlan , Hughes & Wagner ^[1] . December 28, 2002 married Linsi Farrell , in 2007 became a father. The eldest daughter is Reagan, the middle is Brooklyn, the youngest is Cheyenne.
