U-11 - a small submarine of type IIB , during the Second World War . An order for construction was given on July 20, 1934 . The boat was laid at the shipyard of the Germaniawerft shipbuilding company, Kiel on May 6, 1935 under serial number 545. Launched on August 27, 1935 . September 21, 1935 adopted and, under the command of Captain Lieutenant Hans-Rudolph Roesing, became part of the Unterseebootsschulflottille. [one]

Service History
I didn’t make any military campaigns. Served as a training boat.
In 1940, U-11 was the first to participate in tests of a sound-absorbing coating developed by Kriegsmarine to reduce the acoustic signature of the submarine. He was given the code name Alberich ( Eng. Alberich ) in honor of the invisible wizard from German mythology .
Fate
Withdrawn from the fleet on January 5, 1945 . Flooded on May 3, 1945 in Kiel. Subsequently raised and cut into metal.
