Biography
He served in the Olonets province with those exiled in the Petrashevsky case V.M. Belozersky and A.P. Balasoglo .
Governor Pisarev wrote to St. Petersburg about the unlawfulness of Makarov Nikolay Yakovlevich, who had fled Petrozavodsk at night and, having safely avoided the chase, came to St. Petersburg to his relative, member of the State Council A.V. Kochubey. The latter vouched for Dubrov before Makarov, and the case of Makarov N. Ya. Was suspended.
Later Makarov Nikolay Yakovlevich served in various departments and at the end of his life was a member of the Council of the Minister of Finance.
In 1852-1853 Makarov Nikolai Yakovlevich participated in the "Foreign Review", " Contemporary ", then compiled and translated for the " Bulletin of the Russian Geographical Society " and nap. βA few words about Nick. Andr. Markoviche β(The Foundation, 1856, No. 5).
