Future
In July 2014, the CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment was interviewed for the Daily Telegraph . His team decided to continue the development of Spyro, saying: “We began to discuss the issue of continuing to release games in which there will be old characters who are so loved by people. People say that these characters were so close to them in childhood. I certainly will not ignore such requests. " [1]
In September 2014, speaking at IGN, Ted Price, director of Insomniac Games, said that the creation of new parts of Spyro is not a bad idea. “ Activision has done a great job with Spyro . They resurrected him in Skylanders . The developers of the group did a great job of securing by moving it to a different story. This is very difficult to do in an era when people like zombie games. We will always love this character. I learned to say "never say never" , so ... who knows? ". After this interview, the fans of the series were outraged. “After finishing work on the Spyro Legend trilogy, Activision Studio spat on the game biography of this character and made it an inconspicuous part of its action. It's not cool at all, ”wrote one of them. Fans are asking the CEO of Insomniac Games to buy back the license and continue to develop the game further. [2]
