Biography
Vasily Malinin graduated from the Kiev Theological Academy . Master of Theology (dissertation “Study of Golden-spreading on the 12th century manuscript of the Imperial Public Library”, 1878), doctor of Russian literature (dissertation “The Elder of Eleazarov Monastery Philotheus and his message”, 1901). He taught at the Kiev Theological Academy, the University of St. Vladimir, and at the highest women's courses .
He published in Kiev a number of critical brochures on Russian literature of the 19th century, including “Characteristics of Zhukovsky’s Poetry” (1883), “ Pushkin ’s Poetry” (1887), “ S. Ya. Nadson , as a Poet” (1892), “ D. Fonvizin as the author of comedies "(1892)," N.V. Gogol as an ethical writer "(1902); " F. M. Dostoevsky , features and development of his talent and creativity" (1906); "The tasks of artistic creativity N. V. Gogol" (1911).
