Merope ( dr. Greek Μερόπη ). The semi-mythical queen of Messenia [1] . The daughter of King Arkady Kipsel , the wife of Kresfont , the mother of Epitus . Later, against her will, she became the wife of Polyphont , the killer of his first husband (according to Apollodorus) [2] . Euripides Cresfon - the name of both her husband and her son, Merope helps him in revenge for his father.
