Geography
The urban settlement of Elektrougli is located in the southwest of the Noginsky district . In the north it borders on the urban settlement of Staraya Kupavna , in the northeast - on the rural settlement of Aksyon-Butyrsky , in the east - on the urban settlement named after Vorovsky , in the south - on the rural settlement of Vyalkovsky Ramensky district , in the west - on the urban district of Balashikha . The area of the municipality is 5842 ha . [one]

History
The town of Elektrougli was formed on January 1, 2006 in accordance with the Federal Law “On General Principles of the Organization of Local Self-Government in the Russian Federation” , it included: [14]

- 2nd Biserovsky site.
- Vishnyakovo is a village.
- Rabbits - the village.

Local government
September 4, 2005 Sorokin Victor Evgenievich was elected the Head of the Municipal Formation “City Settlement Elektrougli” by voting of residents. In April 2007, he resigned with the wording “of his own free will”. On September 2, 2007, in the early elections, Yuri Vasilievich Busov was elected Head of the settlement.
On September 16, 2014, the Chairman of the Council of Deputies - Korolev Alexey Valerievich, was elected.
