Biography
Started playing in the Nigeria Premier League club Sunshine Stars in 2003. In the same year, he could have completed his football career, since due to an attack on a judge in a championship match, Nigeria was disqualified for 5 years.
In 2004, Omotoyossi left for Benin, having received the citizenship of this country in the same year. For two years he played in the Benin championship for the club ASJA and “Poba”.
Having shown himself perfectly at the 2005 World Youth Championship , in November he moved to the Moldavian “ Sheriff ”. In 2006 he became the champion of Moldova and the owner of the Moldavian Cup . As part of the club, he participated in UEFA Champions League matches 2006/07 . In the second qualifying round, the team lost to Spartak Moscow in away goals in the sum of two matches - 1: 1 (at home) and 0: 0 (away). Omotoyossi scored for the “Sheriff”.
In 2007 he moved to the Swedish Helsingborg . Adaptation Omotoyossi in the club dragged on, but after a while his interaction with Henrik Larsson began to bear fruit. In the 2007 Swedish Championship, Omotoyossi, together with the Gothenburg player Markus Berg, became the top scorer, having recorded 14 goals. Benin striker with six goals became one of the best UEFA Cup snipers 2007/08 .
Moscow Lokomotiv , Ramensky Saturn and Samara Wings of the Soviets were interested in Omotoyossi's services. The management of the Helsingborg club estimated the player at 2 million pounds [1] .
As a result, in June 2008, the player was sold to the Al-Nasr club of the Saudi Arabian Major League . Despite the fact that the player constantly went on the field in the first team and scored decisive goals, in January 2009 he announced his desire to leave Saudi Arabia. In July 2009, as a free agent, he joined the French club Metz , which played in League 2 . He made his debut on August 14, 2009 in a match against the Istr club. In the summer of 2010, he left Mets and remained without a club for six months. In the fall of 2010, I was watching in several English clubs, but didn’t fit any of them. In January 2011, he was watched in the Russian club “ Rostov ” [3] , but he did not fit this club [4] .
March 30, 2011 signed a contract with the Swedish club GAIS . After spending 13 matches for the team and scoring 2 goals, on July 28 he moved to the camp of another club - “ Syurianska ”. Thus, in one season Allsvenskan he played for 2 teams. For 4 rounds before the finish of the Swedish championship, for 110 thousand euros went to the Egyptian football grandee - the Zamalek team.
The first time he entered the field on October 28, 2011 in a match against Al-Harby , which ended in a victory 3-1. He managed to open an account with goals in the championship on January 3, 2012, scoring a goal against Petroget . The result of the meeting is 1: 1. In total, in the 2011/12 season, he entered the field in 9 games, scoring 4 goals in them and making 2 assists. After the tragedy in Port Said , it was decided to cancel the championship. [5] . He has been playing for the national team since 2004. He participated in the World Championship among youth teams in 2005 and the African Cups of Nations 2008 and 2010 .
