Story
France, XIX century. Jean Valjean, freed after a prison of 20 years, where he was sent for stealing a roll, he vowed to lead an honest life. But Police Inspector Zhaver is convinced that the criminal will always remain a criminal, and Valjeanu’s place in prison. Until the end of the century. Despite everything, Valjean becomes a successful industrialist and mayor of a provincial town. But unrighteous justice again overtakes him.
