Andrei Nikolayevich Malakhov (born January 11, 1972 , Apatity , Murmansk Region , USSR ) is a Russian television journalist , showman , producer , actor , editor-in-chief of StarHit magazine and a teacher of journalism courses at the Russian State Humanitarian University . The host of the programs of the TV channel " Russia-1 " " Live " and " Hello, Andrew! ". Prior to that, he worked for Channel One for 25 years: at ITA RSTC Ostankino (1992-1995), Directorate of the morning television channel OJSC (until 1998 ZAO) ORT (1995-2001), host of various programs and special projects (2001-2017).

Biography
Born on January 11, 1972 in the city of Apatity ( Murmansk region ).
Andrei Malakhov studied in the same class as Evgeny Rudin (DJ Groove) . He graduated from school with a silver medal, received a musical education ( music school ) in the violin class [1] [2] .
He graduated with honors from the Faculty of Journalism of Moscow State University. M.V. Lomonosov in 1995 [3] . He studied on the same course with many famous journalists: Ernest Matskevichyus , Vladimir Chernyshev , Sergey Gaponov , Andrei Cherkasov , Alexander Khabarov and others [4] .
For a year and a half he trained at the University of Michigan in the USA [5] . During his studies, he completed his internship in the culture department of the Moscow News newspaper, was the author and presenter of the Style program on Maximum radio .
He graduated from the Law Faculty of the Russian State University for the Humanities ( RSUH ).
Since November 22, 2007 - the chief editor of the glossy StarHit magazine [6] .
He taught the basics of journalism at the Russian State Humanitarian University. Lecturer at the First Media Academy of MIRBIS.
In September 2017, he founded the TV Hit TV company, which is engaged in the production of television projects. He took the post of general producer of the television company, and headed the television company Alexander Novikov [7] [8] .

July 31, 2017 it became known that Andrei Malakhov will not return to Channel One in the new television season [38] due to an internal conflict in the talk show team “Let They Talk” [39] . It was also reported that Malakhov leaves the talk show due to a sharp increase in the number of issues on political topics, although these data have not been confirmed [40] .
On August 7, 2017, Elle reported that Malakhov was leaving “Let them talk” because he was going on “maternity leave,” because according to the publication, Malakhov’s wife, Natalya Shkuleva, was pregnant [41] . It is worth noting that Natalya Shkuleva is the publisher of the Russian version of the magazine " Elle ". The same day, RIA Novosti reported that Andrei Malakhov wrote a letter of resignation from Channel One [42] .
On August 11, Dozhd TV channel distributed a video in which the host of Evening News on Channel One, Dmitry Borisov, discusses the departure of Andrei Malakhov with program guests [43] . On August 14, this broadcast went on air, where all the memorable moments of the existence of the program and its host over the past 16 years from the date of foundation were discussed. VGTRK / Russia-1 (since 2017)
On August 16, 2017, RIA Novosti reported that Andrei Malakhov was transferred to the VGTRK on the Rossiya-1 TV channel and would be conducting a live broadcast talk show instead of Boris Korchevnikov , whose contract was ending due to his transfer to the Orthodox TV channel " Spas ." In addition, according to the source of RIA Novosti, Malakhov will be not only the leader, but also the co-producer of a number of projects [47] . On August 21, in an interview with various media, Malakhov confirmed the transition to the All-Russian State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company, saying that he would not only be the host of the program “Andrey Malakhov. On August 25, 2017, the first issue of “Live Broadcast” was held with Malakhov. The latter invited Boris Korchevnikov’s predecessor to the program; the topic of the broadcast was “frank conversation” between two presenters - the former and the future [50] .
From October 22 to December 9, 2017 - the host of the television game "Wall" [51] .
In November 2017, it became known that the Saturday program was being prepared for production, similar to the show “Tonight”, which was conducted by Malakhov on “Channel One” [52] . She received the name " Hello, Andrew! ”, Its premiere took place on December 16, 2017 [53] .
Since New Year's Eve-2018 Malakhov is one of the leading “ Blue Lights on Shabolovka ” [54] .
On September 30, 2018, Malakhov and his wife Natalya Shkuleva became the heroes of the program “ When Everyone is at Home ” with Timur Kizyakov , who made a similar transition (from Channel One to Russia-1) almost simultaneously with Andrey Malakhov. Nevertheless, the conversation was focused on the family life of Malakhov, rather than on his career as a TV presenter.
Together with Maria Sittel , Elena Kirik and Vasily Golovanov, he was announced as the host of the “We Need to Talk” television bridge organized by the Russia-24 and NewsOne TV channels and scheduled for July 12. The project was criticized by official departments and most of Ukrainian politicians and the public, including President Vladimir Zelensky (who called it “a cheap but dangerous PR move before the election ”). The day after the announcement, NewsOne announced the cancellation of the teleconference due to "mass information attacks" and threats against itself and its employees [55] [56] [57] [58] . The program was broadcast on July 12 by forces of only the Russian side: most of it was devoted to stories about the Soviet past and calls for the restoration of the “friendship” between Russia and Ukraine without mentioning the negative sides in the relations between the two countries (events in Crimea , Donbass , located in Russia Ukrainian political prisoners). The next day, he was included in the base of the site “ Peacemaker ” for “conscious participation in the information and propaganda provocation of Russia [59] ”.
Malakhov also conducts various concerts broadcast by the Russia-1 channel, as previously on the First Channel [60] .

In 2007, paired with Tina Kandelaki held one release of the concert program “Good Songs” on STS (the broadcast took place on January 20 [61] ).
In 2008, in tandem with Anna Sedokova, he led a show on the Ukrainian television channel “TV Star-Superstar” ( TV channel “Ukraine” ) [62] .
From 2009 to 2010, Malakhov was a columnist for the Infomania program at STS.

Criticism
On March 24, 2011, the Let the Talk program touched on a conflict between the administration of a boarding school for children with disabilities and volunteer organizations. After graduation, human rights activists who spoke on the side of the program sent an open letter to Konstantin Ernst in protest against Andrei Malakhov. The presenter was accused of trying to create PR for himself and make more money on a children's problem. The letter was signed by a number of famous teachers [68] . Quote from the letter:
“Andrei Malakhov persistently ignored any attempts to talk about the situation of children living in boarding schools, about the reasons that children living in the group care system, lag behind in development and physical indicators, often die. At the same time, he actively supported skirmishes with mutual insults and personalization between representatives of the boarding school and volunteers. ”
The journalist of the Radio Liberty Elena Rykovtseva speaks about Andrei Malakhov like this:
“... at the TEFI ceremony [in 2005], Andrey Malakhov received this prize from the Academy. Received for his show "Five Evenings" - a sweet, balanced, and even becoming a serious show, received deservedly. <...> Today, however, Malakhov, both among the general public and television critics, is primarily associated with the program "Let them talk." She violates any, the most rudimentary ideas about morality. So the presentation of the TEFI to Malakhov is involuntarily perceived as a recognition of vulgarity. ” [69]
A similar opinion is expressed on the pages of the newspaper Izvestia on November 21, 2005 [70] .
September 10, 2012 was shown the program "Let them talk", the hero of which was the poet Ilya Reznik . He could not come to the transfer, but Malakhov promised him that everything would go smoothly and without scandals. In the program, Reznik was repeatedly accused of misdeeds, often without proof. As a result, after watching the program, Reznik had a heart attack. Malakhov groundlessly accused him of simulation [71] . Reznik’s lawyer said that a lawsuit will be filed against the program [72] .
