Quotes
- “Pure gift, pure melos, pure voice studies ... Poet by the grace of God, ... whose great poetic hope came true with such irreparable lateness. But it still came true ” [3] - Victor Toporov , 1993 .
- “Motrich recited poems. With pleasure, how hungry people eat meat. Almost with rumbling and champing he read. Substantially, and not as literature, elegant and light and non-existent, poems came out of the Croatian throat. He read Mandelshtam and Brodsky's “Pied Piper”, read his poems ... / “And Jesus himself is like a horse thief / In a cotton print shirt ...” / Deep whisper (and especially all disturbing, like the sound of a drill, “c” in the name of Jesus, uss) the first in the life of the young man Savenko a living poet made the hairs on the body of the booklet man rise. Motionless, hypnotized, mouths ajar, looked at Motrich ... <...> ... maybe heard a poem a hundred times ... / ... Looking at the dark-faced poet (Croatian stubble inexorably wade through the skin), the book reporter gave himself the word to become a poet like Motrich. "By all means ..." - a stubborn man whispered " [4] - Eduard Limonov , 1986 .
- “But as Blok , who wrote more than a dozen meters of trashy seryatin, remains a great poet, so Motrich, with his five percent of the total number, is a real poet” [5] - Yuri Miloslavsky , 2010 .
- “Motrich was truly a literary, and perhaps an epic hero in the flesh, whose name is the Poet as a type. This meant that among his admirers there were many such people who either did not read any verses at all, including those who were written by their subject of worship, or began to be interested in poetry (at least one Vladimir Motrich) only because of the charm of Vladimir Motrich in corpore. In this sense, he had no rivals in Kharkov and could not have it ” [5] - Yuri Miloslavsky , 2010 .
- “Motrich is a unique poet by the fact that he avoided the bad and false choice of being“ Soviet ”or“ anti-Soviet ”. He - in his poems - as if he “did not notice” the Soviet power ” [2] - German Titov, 2013 .
