Content

Geography

The village is located on the Kitat River (a tributary of the Yai ), 110 km from Tomsk , near the border with the Kemerovo region .

History

The settlement was founded in 1897 by immigrants from the Poltava province as the Korovinsky resettlement village. Many villagers are descendants of Ukrainian immigrants [1] .

On October 30, 2018, a monument to victims of political repressions was unveiled [2] .
