Biography

He started playing football at the age of 5. First coach - Savely Semenovich Safronov. The pupil of the sports school " Smena ". He started his adult career in the second Zenit team, played for her in the third and second leagues.

Since 1999, he was attracted to Anatoly Davydov to the main team, however, he completely became the basis under Yuri Morozov . Katulsky spent his debut season for Zenit in the libero position, hitting at the end of the list of the 33 best players in Russia. He has already spent the second season in Zenit in the center of the field, once again hitting the top 33. That 2001 season was the best in Katulsky's career: Zenit won bronze medals, and Alexei scored several important and very beautiful goals, including two victories - Spartak (in the same game for the first time for Zenit and Alexander Kerzhakov scored ) and Dynamo. In 2003, together with Zenit, Katulsky won silver medals and the Premier League Cup. Appeared on the field infrequently. For four years of performances in Zenit Katulsky spent 89 matches, scoring 5 goals.

From 2005 to 2009, he played for the Ekaterinburg Ural in the first division , was the team captain. The highest cup achievement of the club in its history ( semi-finals 2007/2008 ) [1] and the best performance in the championship since 1994 ( bronze of the First Division 2006 ) [2] are connected with this period.

In December 2009, he signed a contract with the Nizhny Novgorod Volga [3] , also serving in the first division.

In July 2010, he moved to Shinnik Yaroslavl [4] .

On March 6, 2012 he signed a contract with the amateur football club "Rus" from St. Petersburg [5] .

March 19, 2012 announced the completion of a football career [6] . Already on April 12, he became the coach of the Zenit St. Petersburg Academy [7] .

He graduated from the Academy of Engineering and Economics and the Lesgaft Institute of Physical Education (St. Petersburg). Married, daughter Arina.

As of 2017 - coach of the Children's and Youth Sports School-2 “Star”. [eight]
