Volkhov basin and Lake Ilmen
The source of the river is located near the swamp Tushinsky moss. Inflows - Lezna , Chudlya , Sichev , Smerdynka , Ravan , Menevsha . The river crosses the railway lines St. Petersburg - Moscow and Volkhovstroy - Chudovo .
On the banks of the river is the city of Lyuban (83 km from St. Petersburg ). Already in the XV century, a large trading village was located on this place (mentioned in the Novgorod scribal book of 1500 ).
