Biography
Graduate of the Second School ( 1975 ). In 1981, he graduated from the VMK Moscow State University with a degree in applied mathematics . Pupil Roy Alexandrovich Medvedev .
In 1989 - 1991 he was one of the active participants in the group of graduates and teachers of the Second School, who set as their goal the reorganization (revival) of the Second School. The result of this work was the reorganization of the Second School in 1992 (the creation of a new legal entity), giving it the status of a lyceum , a significant update (by 2/3) of the teaching staff, the abandonment of primary schools (grades 1-5), the creation of a training system based on university principles, etc. Thus, P. V. Khmelinsky, deservedly [1] [2] is considered one of the founders of the Second School Lyceum .
In August 1992, he was appointed the first director of the Second School Lyceum (in its new lyceum capacity) and held this position until August 1998 . In addition to administrative and organizational work, he taught history and mathematics at the school. After leaving the Second School, he was the director of the Filippovskaya school, and taught for several years at the 192nd school in Moscow . He currently runs the Mathematics Center.
