Baiterek ( Kaz. Baiterek , formerly Novoalekseevka) is a village in the Enbekshikazakh district of the Almaty region of Kazakhstan . The administrative center of the Baiterek rural district. Located 20 km east of Almaty at the A351 highway. The KATO code is 194067100 [1] .

According to the 2009 census , 9679 people lived in the village (4407 men and 5272 women) [2] .

Village History

The first name of the village is “Golopupovka” . The second name is Novo-Alekseyevka. The current name is Baiterek.
