Education
In 1975 he graduated from the Faculty of History and Philology of Kazan State University (KSU) named after V. I. Ulyanov-Lenin [3] in the specialty " Scientific Communism " [7] .
Scientific and teaching activities
In 1975 - 1979 he worked as a junior researcher, head of cabinet, assistant in the department of scientific communism (now the department of sociology, political science and management) of the Kazan Aviation Institute (since 1992 - Kazan State Technical University named after A.N. Tupolev ). [3] [4]
In 1979 - 1981 he was a graduate student of the Department of Scientific Communism (now the Department of Political Science) of KSU named after V.I. Ulyanov-Lenin . In 1981 - 1986 he worked as an assistant, senior lecturer at the Department of Scientific Communism (since 1991 - Department of Political Science) at the same university. [7]
In 1987 he defended his thesis for the degree of candidate of philosophical sciences on the topic "The authority of the leader in the management of production activity under socialism" (specialty 09.00.02 - Theory of Scientific Communism. [8]
In 1986 - 1994 , he was a senior researcher, and in 1989 - 2004 - the head of the sociology laboratory of KSU named after V.I. Ulyanov-Lenin , in 1994 - 2002 - associate professor of the Department of Public Administration, History and Sociology (GUIS) of Kazan State Technological University (KSTU) . [3]
In 2001, A. L. Salagaev defended at the St. Petersburg State University the dissertation “Adolescent Territorial Community as an Object of Theoretical Research” for the degree of Doctor of Sociology (specialty 22.00.01 - theory, methodology and history of sociology). Since 2004, he was a professor and head of the department of social and political conflictology of the faculty of social and humanitarian technologies of KSTU . [3]
Research Interests
The main stages of the professional biography of A. L. Salagayev include activities in the field of sociology of labor and management, deviant behavior of youth and youth policy.
Based on long-term studies of social deviations, he developed the concept of a teenager-youth delinquent community, identified its attributive, functional and structural characteristics, which allows to improve criminal law standards to combat youth criminal groups, to develop new social control strategies. A. L. Salagaev carried out a complex of studies on the problems of drug addiction , AIDS and street violence. [one]
As a member of the Public Opinion Program, he led the study, “Professional and Value Orientation of Pupils in Continuing Education.” [ten]
Based on the research of A. L. Salagayev, a Program for the Formation and Implementation of Youth Policy in Kazan for 1992-2003 was developed and adopted. [eleven]
A. L. Salagaev developed educational programs for the courses “Sociology”, “Problems of Social Deviations”, “Municipal Management”, which are implemented at the Department of State and Municipal Management of KSTU and the courses “Sociology of Conflict”, “Methodology of Conflictological Research”, “Introduction to interdisciplinary conflict research methodology ”and others.
Over the years of scientific and pedagogical activity, he has published more than 180 scientific and scientific-methodological works [1] , including monographs: “Youth offenses and delinquent communities through the prism of American sociological theories”, “The human factor in accelerating the economic growth of the TASSR industry”, “ The Eurogang Paradox. Street Gangs and Youth Groups in the US and Europe ”,“ Youth subcultures ”,“ Teenager in the city: problems of socialization ”,“ Political and administrative aspects of corruption in the regions of the Volga Federal District ”.
A. L. Salagaev was the owner of grants from the Russian Humanitarian State Fund , the Fulbright Foundation, the Volga Fair for Social and Cultural Projects, and the participant in international programs Eurogang and NorFA. [eleven]

Community Activities
In 1990 - 1995 , A. L. Salagaev was a deputy of the Kazan City Council of People’s Deputies, a member of the Presidium, Chairman of the Standing Commission on Youth and Sports.
He headed the “Society of Russian Culture of Kazan” (hereinafter - the “Society of Russian Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan”) from the moment it was founded. Since April 8, 2014, he was president of the Society of Russian Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan. [6] . Demise
A. L. Salagaev died on July 18, 2014 at 5 a.m. after a long, long illness. [7] [12] [13]
