Geography
It is located in the eastern part of the district at a distance of 21 kilometers southeast of the district center of Sandovo . Railway station Volkhovstroevsky branch of the October Railway .
To the west of Toporovo passes the highway " Khabotskoye - Molokovo - Sandovo ", access via Bolshoy Ramenye (5 km).
Around the village are the villages of Iskra , Rodionikha and Sosnino .
The population according to the 2002 census is 208 people, 100 men, 108 women.
History
Toporovo station was opened in 1925 with the start of traffic on the Ovinishche-II - Pestovo - Mga line . The name received from the nearby village Toporovo .
In the 1970s and 80s, the eponymous station settlement was formed, a hospital, a dairy, a school and a boiler room were built.
In 1997 - 81 households, 246 residents; the administration of the rural district, the board of the collective farm "Lenin's Testament", an incomplete secondary school, a recreation center, a library, an outpatient clinic, a post office.
