Denis Lambin ( French: Denis Lambin ; between 1516 and 1521 , Montreux - September 29, 1572 , Paris ) - French philologist .
Biography
Professor of Greek literature in Paris . He stood out for his wide erudition and was also known for the slowness of his reading and interpretation of the authors; believe that his name was the source of the French word lambiner - to linger . His publications are valuable in Horace (Lyon, 1561 , and Venice, 1566 ), Lucretius ( 1563 ) [1] , Cicero ( 1566 ), etc.
