Group History
The group was founded in 1995 , the participants met at the hip-hop festival. The band’s first single was “Ich Find 'Dich Scheiße”. The group secured the success of the single by releasing their debut album Tic Tac Toe , which went platinum . Then came the release of two singles “Funky” and “Leck Mich am A, B, Zeh”. The band's next single, Verpiss' Dich, reached number one on the charts and also went platinum.
In 1997, the band released their second platinum album, Klappe Die 2te , which contained one of the band’s most famous hits, Warum?. The song lasted 7 weeks at the top of the charts. Two Tic Tac Toe albums have sold over 3 million copies.
In the same year, the group gave the first concert, which took place in Sweden , then went on a tour of Germany , arranging concerts in 16 cities.
Despite professional success, members of the group constantly clashed. At the request of the record company, the girls in the interview claimed that they were 18 years old, although in fact Lee was 22 years old, Jazzi was 21, and the youngest Rika was 19 years old. In March 1997, the press became aware of the real age of the band members, as well as the details of Lee's personal life - she was married, and her husband had recently committed suicide . Scandals in the press and health problems of Ricky lead to a frequent breakdown of the band's concerts.
In the fall of 1997, after a scandalous press conference, Ricky left the group. Her replacement was Zara Brahms.
In 2004, Jazz tried unsuccessfully to begin a solo career.
In December of the following year, the band released a new single, “Spiegel,” which reached number 7 on the German Media Control single chart . In February 2006, the trio released the album "Comeback", which was their first work in the previous five years. The album was a success, but incomparable with the success of previous albums. Due to low sales of discs, the record company closed the project.
