Lalanne, Marie Louis

Marí Ludovic Chrétien Lalanne ( French: Marie Ludovic Chrétien Lalanne [1] ; April 23, 1815 - May 16, 1898 ) - French archaeologist . Brother Leon Louis Lalanne

Student of the Charter School , librarian of the French Institute. Of his works, at one time, “Recherches sur le feu grégois et sur l'introduction de la poudre en Europe” ( 1841 ) and “Dictionnaire historique de la France” ( 1872 ) were very interesting.

Curiosités philologiques, géographiques et ethnologiques (collection of articles and notes, 1855 ).

  1. ↑ Lalann's father, physician Francois Julien Louis Chretien, in 1820 received permission to add his family name to his surname, Lalann; their children initially had, like him, a double surname, but later on, after their father, they began to use only the second, using the first as an additional name.
