“ Me Against the Music ” is the first single of American singer Britney Spears from her fourth studio album In the Zone (2003), recorded with the participation of Madonna , released on October 14, 2003 via Jive Records . The song was written by artists in collaboration with Christopher Stewart, Penelope Magnet and other authors for Spears' fourth studio album In the Zone (2003).

Duo Story

On the eve of the performance at the VMA'03 ceremony, together with Madonna, Britney rehearsed a dance in the next room to the already recorded title track from the upcoming album. At that moment Madonna passed by, who, having heard the recording, decided to go inside. She asked: "Is this your new single?" Britney shook her head in the affirmative. “Then I would like to participate in it!” Madge exclaimed.
