Area - 759 km² (14th among districts). The main river is Pripyat .
History
The district was established in 1993 .
Demographics
The population of the district as of December 1, 2013 was 16,942 people, including 5,357 people (31.62%) living in urban conditions, 11,585 (68.38%) in rural areas. The permanent population is 16,991 people, including the urban population - 5359 people (31.54%), the rural population - 11 632 (68.46%) [2] .
