Name Origin
Named in 1986 in honor of A. I. Pokryshkin [1] .
In Soviet times, there were practically no residential buildings on the street, so a memorial plaque was installed on the building of the shopping center (house number 5). It was removed in the 2000s during the reconstruction of the facade and replaced with a new marble board with the same text.
History
The street appeared in the early 1980s during the development of the Nikulino area and for some time remained without a name. Since 1988, together with Nikulinskaya street, it has been one highway connecting Vernadsky and Michurinsky Avenues.
