History of the genus
The founder of the Vrevsky family was Prince Alexander Borisovich Kurakin , who gave his illegitimate children the name Vrevsky from the family village of Vrev [1] .
His children - Boris , Stepan and Maria Vrevsky received the baronial title from the Austrian emperor Franz I [2] , at whose court A. B. Kurakin served as the Russian ambassador. Other, his youngest children - Alexander, Pavel (1808–1855) and Hippolytus (1814–1858) [3] received permission from the Russian Emperor Alexander I to be called barons in 1822 and he was granted the highest decree by the Russian hereditary nobility.
Emblem Description
Directly uplifting, oblong, below is a pointed shield of azure color, which depicts across it a flowing river and 3 stars, of which one is placed at the top and two at the bottom of the river, above the shield - the baron's crown, on top of which are placed 3 tournament helmets with golden crowns open visors and golden cross chains. The middle shield is supported by 2 armored men with scarlet feathers and swords hanging from the hilt at the golden hilt.

- Alexander Borisovich (1834-1910) - infantry general , Turkestan governor general and commander of the troops of the Turkestan military district .
- Pavel Alexandrovich Jr. (1856-1917) - Plotsky and Warsaw vice governor.
- Stepan Borisovich (1843-1901) - State Counselor, Knight of the Order of St. Anne, 3rd Art.
