Peter Frederick Adolph Hammerich ( dates Peter Frederik Adolph Hammerich ; August 8, 1809 ; Copenhagen - February 9, 1877 ) is a Danish historian. Brother of Martin Hammerich , father of Angul Hammerich and Asger Chamerick .

Biography
He graduated from the theological faculty of the University of Copenhagen , in 1834 - 1838 . lived in Italy. During the First Schleswig War ( 1848 ) he was a military priest, left memories of this. In 1845 - 1858 served as chaplain in the Holy Trinity Church of Copenhagen, then professor of church history.
Author of historical works “Denmark during the Northern Union ” ( Danmark under de nordiske Riges Forening ; 1849 - 1854 ) and “Denmark during the aristocracy. 1523-1660 "( Danmark under adelsvælden (1523-1660.) ; 1854 - 1860 ), as well as the three-volume History of the Christian Church ( Den kristne Kirkes Historie ; 1868 - 1871 ), brought to 1814 .
