Syzran TPP is a large energy company in the city of Syzran , Samara Region . The CHP is a division of the Volga Territorial Generating Company .

History
The construction of the Syzran TPP was approved in March 1939 , but the construction of the station was interrupted in connection with the Great Patriotic War . After the war, the construction of the CHP was resumed, and on December 31, 1947 the first turbogenerator was put into operation. Syzran TPP became the first oil shale station in Europe.
The Syzran TPP provides energy supply to the enterprises of the city's petrochemical complex and heat supply to the housing estate in which most of the Syzran population lives. It is a branch of Volzhskaya TGK .
Perspectives
In February 2008, the board of directors of VoTGK approved the conclusion of the first contract. Within a year, the contracting company (OJSC Samara Production and Repair Enterprise) began the construction of a combined cycle plant. The ending was planned in 2010. Due to the incompetence of the contractor, the cost of work increased to 22 billion rubles, and their completion date moved to 2012 . After putting into operation a CCGT unit, the installed electric capacity of the Syzran TPP will increase from 200 MW to 455 MW [3] .
Incidents
- On April 2, 2011, a fire occurred on the cooling tower of the power unit under construction [4] .
