Poklonnaya Gora is a hill in the north of St. Petersburg , in the Vyborg district . Altitude 40 meters. It is part of the so-called Pargolovo - Levash moraine ridge.

According to one version, the hill got its name because from here the Swedes sent their messengers to Peter I with a request for peace.
To the north-west of Poklonnaya Gora there is a chain of lakes (Upper, Middle and Big Suzdal ), which gave the name to the Ozerki region.
