Early life
Matthew Lillard was born on January 24, 1970 in Lansing , Michigan and grew up in California [3] [4] . He attended the American Academy of Dramatic Art , California , and the Circle School of Theater in New York .
Career
The actor gained world fame by playing Shaggy in the film adaptation of the animated franchise Scooby-Doo in 2002. Two years later, he returned to this role in the sequel titled Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Free . Also Lillard, starting with the cartoon Scooby-Doo! Abracadabra Doo, ”voiced by Shaggy in all animated series , films and video games.
In 2012, Lillard's directorial debut took place, he shot the comedy film "Fat Boy Rule the World" [5] .
In 2017, he appeared in several episodes in the third season of the cult series Twin Peaks as the school principal of William Hastings, accused of murder [6] [7] .
Personal life
In 2000, he married Heather Helm, the couple had three children: Addison Grace (b. June 13, 2002), Macy Lin (b. October 19, 2004), Liam Peter (b. April 23, 2008). In October 2005, Lillard took part in the Dungeons & Dragons tournament against members of the Quest Club at Magic Castle in Hollywood.
