Tobias Sammet's Avantasia: The Scarecrow is a concept album for Avantasia project by Edguy lead singer Tobias Sammet , which was released in early 2008. The recordings were attended by musicians from several well-known rock groups: ( Scorpions , Kamelot , etc.). A double mini-album , released in November 2007, was released for the song “ Lost in Space ”, and a video clip was shot. April 3, 2010 released the albums The Wicked Symphony and Angel of Babylon , continuing the history of The Scarecrow .

Story
In the story, the main character is a Scarecrow, who has gone insane and suffering from unrequited love. He leads a conversation with himself and his feelings (unrequited love, fornication). Mephistopheles often appears next to him, eventually making him angry with the world and those who caused him suffering. But the emotional torment of the Scarecrow does not stop and he continues to think about the girl whom he unrequitedly loved. In the end, the main character resigns himself to his position and tells himself that he will wander alone forever.
In the future (in the next two albums), the Scarecrow passes a series of difficult emotional tests, continuing to communicate with voices in his head, angels and demons. In the end, he finds the answers to all his questions.
