Dzagoev, Alan Elizbarovich

Early years

Born in Beslan . Father was a businessman. Mother played football at an early age ^{[4] [5]} . From childhood, Alan was interested in football: he "went into the clearing near the house and drove the ball" ^[6] . He studied at school number 4, from childhood attended football training, and since 2000 he played for the Avtodor-Yunost children's team from Vladikavkaz . The first coach is Yuri Naniev ^[7] . The material support of the family was not the best, and Alan mastered the basics of football equipment, bypassing car tires with the ball ^[8] . In 2005, at the Leather Ball tournament, Alan was noticed by Igor Osinkin , after which Dzagoev was invited to the Togliatti training center for football players - the Yuri Konoplev Football Academy . ^[9]

Wings of the Soviets SOK

After training at the Konoplev Academy, Dimitrovgrad was sent to play Kryliya Sovetov-SOK , where he made his debut on April 29, 2006 in the match against Tyumen , scoring the first goal in his professional career on May 14, 2006 against Neftekhimik . This goal was the only one for Dzagoev in the 2006 season, in which he spent 12 matches ^[10] . The next season turned out to be more successful for Dzagoev - in him he played 25 matches and scored 5 goals, including two in the game with Lada ^[11] .

CSKA

In mid-November 2007, Dzagoev together with his teammates Anton Vlasov and Dmitry Ryzhov moved to Moscow CSKA ^[6] . For the transition of all three players, the army team paid 360 thousand dollars ^[12] . As part of CSKA, Dzagoev first entered the field on January 27, 2008 as part of the First Channel Cup , replacing Yuri Zhirkov in the 78th minute of the game against Donetsk Shakhtar ^[13] . On April 26, 2008, he held the first official game for the club against Ray-Energy . On May 11, having left for the first time in the club’s first team match with Khimki , he scored the first goal for the army, and also gave two assists. He became one of the 16 players who managed to score at the age of 17 in the major league of the championship of Russia - he was 17 years 329 days. Dzagoev began to be regarded as the future of the Russian team ^[14] . A week later, Dzagoev first played in the Cup of Russia, substituting in the 61st minute of the 2007/08 season finale, when his team lost 0: 1. CSKA managed to transfer the match to a penalty shootout, where he won. This Russian Cup was the first serious trophy in the player’s career. July 12, 2008 in the match of the 13th round of the championship with Spartak (1: 5) Dzagoev gave three assists. After the match, CSKA head coach noted the progress of the football player ^[15] . On July 30, in a confrontation with Zenit , Dzagoev was removed, having received two yellow cards, but on September 21, in the match with the same club he made his first double, making a decisive contribution to the victory of the “red-blue” with a score of 3: 1 ^[16] . Three days earlier, Dzagoev made his European debut in the first round match of the UEFA Cup against the Croatian club Slaven Belupo ^[17] . In the group stage match against Deportivo (3-0), Dzagoev opened the scoring for goals in European competition, scoring a double ^[18] . After the game, there were reports of interest in the player of representatives of Real Madrid , who allegedly wanted to buy a midfielder, but they were not confirmed ^[19] . In total for the 2008 season, Dzagoev played 29 matches and scored 13 goals in all tournaments, and also entered the list of 33 best players in the championship of Russia ^[20] .

After the 2008 season, the head coach Valery Gazzayev left the team, and Ziko came in his place. With a new mentor, Dzagoev began to play more in the youth championship, rarely appearing as part of an adult team, and in June 2009 there were reports that he refused to renew the contract with the club ^[21] . In this regard, information began to be published that English clubs such as Chelsea , Liverpool and Tottenham were interested in the midfielder ^[22] . The army club unsuccessfully performed in the championship, and one of the reasons for the failures, according to journalists, was the fact that Zico did not use Dzagoev one hundred percent ^[23] . But the midfielder still remained in CSKA, and soon the Brazilian specialist left his post and Dzagoev began to be trusted more than playing time. September 15, scored his first goal in the Champions League , opening the goal of “ Wolfsburg ” (1: 3) ^[24] . On November 3, Dzagoev scored a goal and assisted in a game with Manchester United and was one of the best players in the match ^[25] . In total for the season he played 40 matches and scored 10 goals in all tournaments.

In the 2010 Russian Championship, Dzagoev also infrequently fell into the main team ^[26] . In the Europa League 2010/11, he played 8 matches, scoring 2 goals and giving 4 assists. ^[27] Dzagoev started the season 2011/12 again as the main player of CSKA ^[26] , but on May 26, 2011 it became known that he was transferred by the club’s head coach Leonid Slutsky to the youth team for violation of discipline. The reason for the punishment was the fact that the player allowed himself “incorrect statements” to Slutsky during the final of the Cup of Russia 2011 ^[28] . The conflict soon received a new development - Dzagoev at the initiative of Slutsky was put up for transfer ^[29] . Moscow’s Lokomotiv , which was ready to pay 7 million euros for it, announced its plans to acquire Dzagoev ^[30] . However, Dzagoev later apologized to Slutsky ^[31] and continued his performances for CSKA ^[32] . He scored the first goal in the 2011/12 season in the match of the 13th round of the Premier League against Anji ^[33] . In the match against Kazan Rubin , Dzagoev scored a goal a second before the final whistle, thereby equalizing the score, and saved the team from defeat. In the match of the 29th round against Nalchik, Spartak gave three assists to Seydoux Dumbya ^[34] . On March 3, 2012, in the match of the 33rd round with Zenit (2: 2), he played the 100th match in the Russian Championship and the 150th match for CSKA in all tournaments ^[35] . In this game, he scored a goal. In the match of the 36th round against Lokomotiv, which ended in the defeat of CSKA, Dzagoev broke his little finger on his right foot and was out of action for a month and a half ^[36] .

Already in the second round of the 2012/13 season , on July 28, 2012, Dzagoev in the match against Amkar received a red card for a rough game with risk of injury and was disqualified for two matches ^[37] . September 22 in a game with the Nizhny Novgorod “ Volga ”, in which CSKA won with a score of 3: 2, Dzagoev scored double. One of these two goals scored in the fall through himself, and he was recognized as one of the best of the season ^[38] . In addition, this ball became the thousandth for the army team in the championship of Russia ^[39] . But already in the next round, in the match against Dynamo , Dzagoev hit the face of the defender of the “white-blue” Luke Wilkshire and was removed from the field. He was threatened with a 13-match suspension, but the KDK suspended the player for only five games ^[37] . In the spring part of the championship, Dzagoev scored several goals, including the ball, which brought the army team a draw in a derby with Spartak . At the end of the season, CSKA took first place in the championship, and Dzagoev first entered the list of 33 best players with the first number. Philip Palenkov of SE called it the “heart” of the club ^[40] , and ESPN journalist John Bradley suggested that a world football star could grow out of it ^[41] . On September 14, 2013, in the 8th round match of the next season against Rostov , Dzagoev was injured in the back of his thigh and returned to the field as part of CSKA only on December 2 in the 18th round match - again against Rostov ^{[42] [43]} . On March 31, Dzagoev scored his first goal of the season in a match against Volga, but in it he received another red card ^[44] . Having missed one game, he returned to the field and in the confrontation with Rubin brought CSKA victory 2: 1. CSKA again took first place in the Premier League, and Dzagoev played 23 matches and scored 3 goals in all tournaments.

Dzagoev missed the start of the 2014/15 season due to an Achilles tendon injury ^[45] and played the first match in the championship on August 14, 2014 in a derby with Spartak. He scored his first goal on September 27 in a game against Ural , having made two assists in the same match, and CSKA won with a score of 4: 3 ^[46] . In March 2015, he was injured again, due to which he missed four matches. But in the spring part of the championship was marked by four goals and three assists. According to Sergei Yaremenko, this was the best season for the midfielder in recent years, in which Dzagoev played in a disciplined manner and “did not leave stone unturned from the myth of a talented but undisciplined footballer who does not perform the installation of a coach” ^[47] . The following season, Dzagoev played 43 matches, scored 8 goals and gave 11 assists in all tournaments ^[48] . In the 30th round of the season 2015/2016 , on May 21, 2016, he scored a goal against Rubin, who brought CSKA victory in the game and in the entire championship ^[49] . In the same match, Dzagoev was injured (a fracture of the second metatarsal bone), due to which he was forced to miss the 2016 European Championship ^[50] .

The 2016/17 season was unsuccessful for the midfielder ^{[51] [52]} . Due to four injuries sustained during the season, Dzagoev played only 15 of 30 matches in the Russian championship ^[53] . But despite so many injuries, he managed to distinguish himself in the Champions League games, scoring goals in meetings with Bayer and Tottenham Hotspur ^[54] . Before the 30th round, CSKA head coach Viktor Goncharenko said that Dzagoev will miss the match, and also will not be able to take part in the Confederations Cup ^[55] .

In the 2017/18 season , Dzagoev had three minor injuries, but they did not prevent him from playing in 21 matches, of which 20 were in the first team, and in 5 matches of the Champions League group stage.

The season 2018/19 began for Dzagoev with another injury (damage to the calf muscle of the lower leg) that he received in the match of the Russian Super Cup with Lokomotiv (1-0) ^[56] . This was preceded by damage in the opening match of the 2018 World Cup in June ^[57] . Midfielder damaged the muscles of the back of the thigh.

A series of injuries continued in 2019, the football player was injured at the team’s February training camp in Spain. Even while playing for Krylia Sovetov-SOK, Dzagoev received a challenge to the youthful (under 17 years old) Russian national team and made his debut on October 13, 2006 in the match against Georgia, which took place as part of the qualifying tournament for the European Championship ^[60] . In his next game for the national team, which took place on October 15, Alan scored a double ^[61] . The following season, he played three matches in the selection for the European Championship, and in the confrontation with Northern Ireland he again scored twice per match ^[62] . In 2009, Dzagoev made his debut with the Russian youth team in the 2011 European Championship qualifying match, in which the Russian team was defeated by the Faroe Islands team . After that, Dzagoev did not play for the youth team for 4 years, most often playing for the first team . In the spring of 2013, Dzagoev agreed to play for the Russian youth team at the European Championship ^[63] . The first match with Spain , in which the Russian team was defeated with a score of 0: 1, Dzagoev missed because of the games of the main team ^[64] . On June 9, a match of the second round took place, where the Netherlands opposed the Russians. In it, Dzagoev left in the starting lineup, but could not oppose anything to the five goals scored in the gates of Russia. In the next match against Germany, Dzagoev scored a goal, but the Russian team still lost with a score of 1: 2. First Russian Team

September 29, 2008 Dzagoev received from Guus Hiddink the first call to the Russian national team ^[67] . On October 11, substituting instead of Renat Yanbaev , he made his debut as a member of the national team in a guest match in Dortmund against Germany , where, pushing the ball between the legs of goalkeeper Rene Adler , he had a chance to score a goal, but hit the post, and Russia lost with the score 1: 2 . The footballer himself was not happy with his debut because of a bad result for the team ^[68] . Dzagoev entered the field in the next match, against Finland , replacing Andrei Arshavin in the 92nd minute and playing only 10 seconds before the final whistle. He did not play more in the selection for the World Cup, and Russia did not reach the final part of the tournament ^[70] .

After the absenteeism of the national team at the 2010 World Cup, Guus Hiddink's place as head coach was taken by Dick Advocaat , who began to trust Dzagoev more playing time. On October 8, 2010, in the qualifying match for the 2012 European Championship with Ireland, Dzagoev scored the first goal for the national team and helped her win with a score of 3: 2 ^[71] . Exactly one year later, in the game against the national team of Slovakia, he again scored a goal, which this time was victorious, and in the match against Andorra scored twice ^[70] . In total for the qualifying tournament, the midfielder spent 8 matches and scored 4 goals.

Dzagoev was included in the application of the Russian team for the 2012 European Championship ^[72] . In the first match of the tournament against the Czech national team, he came out in the starting lineup, and in the 15th minute he scored the first goal of the Russian national team in this tournament. At the 79th minute, he scored again and became the second in the list of the youngest authors of the double in the history of the European Championships after the English striker Wayne Rooney . The following year, Alan Dzagoev was again unable to take part in a major international tournament - the 2017 Confederations Cup draw held in Russia. This time, the cause was a recurrence of an injury to the back of the thigh. It was included in the application of the Russian team for the 2018 World Cup in Russia. Оскорбительные высказывания в адрес «Зенита»

Дзагоев начинал карьеру как атакующий полузащитник, но позже стал часто использоваться тренерами на позиции опорного полузащитника ^[100] . Иногда он выступает в амплуа левого полузащитника.
